Build and Strengthen Your Network

The ability to network is vital in today’s world. While social media is a great way to network and build relationships, but there is something powerful about getting out there and meeting people face to face.

I think the idea of networking, or the word in general, turns a lot of people off. The term networking has gotten a bad rap for being associated with trying to sale something. Ditch the sales pitch and enjoy the conversation. Networking is about sharing your passion with others and building relationships with people who enjoy your company and share your passion.

The most important thing to remember when you are networking is ask, “How can I help you?” Show them that you are there to help them succeed because that is where your success lies. As Albert Einstein once said, “The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.”

What are some of your networking strategies? What is you favorite part of networking? What is your least favorite part?
